The Flow Hive phenomenon went viral and they raised a fortune to support their manufacturing with crowd funding. It's a bit controversial (to a minority of nay-sayers) but no matter what you think of their "groundbreaking" invention,ya just gotta Love those guys! I so admire folks -a father and son team in Australia-that spent 10 years in their garage perfecting their honey extracting technique, got uber-rich quick and now keep offering tickets for their hives for charity (this is the second time in a month). All I've ever felt from them and their website is that they have good hearts and intentions and across the globe bee keepers and big bee organizations have agreed. They never Ask for a huge amount of money but they always get So much more.I just think it's Cool and want Everything to work out for Everyone involved!!!

You know, I really couldn't stop my fingers from a $20 donation/5 raffle tickets. I think it is a neat idea and can't wait for prices on that hive to be a tad more realistic so I can try it.

Oh, I seen that design a few months back when I started researching bees....the engineer in me wanted to tear it apart! Pretty cool stuff.
