A sprinkle of flavor to use in soups and on popcorn, on vegetables, or to pick up rice/grains/beans. No salt and no oil.
Based on the ingredient list for Mrs Dash Garlic Herb Garlic, Onion, Spices (Black Pepper, Parsley, Fennel, Basil, Bay, Marjoram, Oregano, Savory, Thyme, Cayenne Pepper, Coriander, Cumin, Mustard, Rosemary, Celery Seed), Carrot, Orange Peel, Spice Extractives. Formulate Guestimates Garlic, 4 oz Onion, 3.5 oz Spices 3 oz (or 85 grams divided by 15 spices) (Black Pepper, 7 grams (ground it) Parsley, 7 grams Fennel, 7 grams (I used seed and ground it) Basil, 7 grams Bay, 6 grams (ground it) Marjoram, 6 grams Oregano, 6 grams (ground it) Savory, 5 grams Thyme, 5 grams Cayenne Pepper, 5 grams Coriander, 5 grams (ground it) Cumin, 5 grams Mustard, 5 grams Rosemary, 5 grams (ground it) Celery Seed), 4 grams (ground it) Carrot, 2.5 ounces (ground it) Orange Peel, 1 ounce (ground it) Spice Extractives.
I made this today. It made a lot.
I tasted it, it tastes mild and herby. It's going to take a few weeks to a few months of using it, to see how much we like it. All the numbers are guesses, your guess is as good as mine.
During the process I ran out of marjoram and basil leaves. I put those on the shopping list. Thanks for the previous suggestions Cabin, jwal, and Tim Horton.

We had it on popcorn with bragg's aminos. The taste was good, and there is a lingering and aromatic orange, with some hot from the cayenne pepper. I really like it.

How do you add the Bragg's without making the popcorn soggy?

How do you add the Bragg's without making the popcorn soggy? Good to see you TEN! We have these little spray bottles that spray it in a light mist. I think they are about 6 inches tall.
So when we are making air popped corn, into a big paper bag, between batches, we mist the popcorn, sprinkle some seasoning, hold it under the hot air for the next batch. So it stays pretty dry but the seasoning sticks to the popcorn.

Kroger's has their version of Mrs. Dash. I love the Zesty Blend variety. I have made it from copycat recipes but I don't think it was any cheaper to make than if I buy it when it is on sale. I use it on or in almost everything I cook!

Mine is different each batch. I kinda like that. I use only what I grow and use a lot more dried vegetables like peppers, radishes, leaf celery. Even Kohlrabi and cabbage. Lot of it is used instead of taking time at meal prep to peel and chop fresh vegetables. I make small batches, a little of this, a little of that. I actually have 4 different bottles (mixes) for different uses. I used to buy a hamburger mix, real cheap but I like my mix. Use it with all red meats. Have a different one for poultry, one for fish. I have found a lot of different mixes at Dollar tree and Bargain Market for a dollar or less but I try to use what I have, so it doesn't go to waste, just dry the excess to use later. It is free and I don't like waste. I carry a small flat basket every time I go outside, I am always clipping things and have a small rack above the wood stove to dry things. My flower gardens are full of plants that are edible and add a lot of flavor to food. Wild onion, chives, garlic buds, added to butter, soft cheeses, pickled eggs. No end to uses....James

@jwal10, that is so awesome James! I'm only using 2 mixes for seasoning currently (fake mrs dash garlic herb and the fake benson's table tasty) and I haven't figured out which I like better with which kinds of foods. You're light years ahead. Like you, I don't want to waste foods/herbs. Last year drying the celery and carrots was a big undertaking because there was a lot. Now I'm out of dried carrots already and I'm looking forward to our next harvest. (it will be a golden uzbec type of carrot) My celery powder lasts pretty long here.

feather , what do you use the carrot and celery powder in? Let's see, there is carrot and celery powder in my stock/broth/bouillon powder. There is carrot powder and celery seed in the fake Mrs Dash. There is carrot and celery powders in fake Benson's Table Tasty. The last two are seasoning, no salt/oil/sugar.
I use the bouillon powder for all my soup bases, gravies, stews, some sauces.

feather, thanks. I occasionally make a stew but none of the others. Somewhere I think I have a fake Mrs. Dash recipe from years ago, a vague memory anyway!

I put my recipes for the three blends in either the recipes or the cooking area of the forum. Feel free to use them and change them to your liking.
