I posted rabbit manure for sale on craigslist. I actually sold some! $2 for a 5 gallon bucket full. The guy got 10 buckets My husband thought I was crazy, but it actually sold! I had another call, but he was a no show. You might try it if you have a need to get rid of some. I use a lot of it, but had more than I needed.

I saw an ad on the local Craigslist a couple days ago. A guy was selling ice cream buckets (gallon) full of bunny berries for 10 bucks. And you had to bring your own container.
I honestly doubt he sold much.

I've never sold any but I've had offers on more than one occassion.
Once we get our permanent bunny barn built and set up the way we want I'll probably sell it by the gallon sack what we don't use.

I think I'm going to start layering mine with some peat and grass clippings in a 55 gallon barrel, try to get it completely composted and use it for seed starting medium next spring.
Everything else will go straight to the gardens.

I know a lady who fills her empty feed bags with rabbit poo and sells on Craigs list.

I used to get $5 for a 5 gallon bucket - customer supplied the bucket. Now that I have a garden, and no rabbits, I wish I had that poo!

Wow! Maybe I should charge more. I have babies so before long I will have plenty.

Since I'm sort-of contemplating raising rabbits just for the manure, I have to ask: how much doo-doo does a bunny do? ;-)
More seriously, what is the manure output of a typical rabbit fed on pellets--for example, how long to fill a 5-gallon bucket? Or how long does it take 5 rabbits, or 10 rabbits, to fill a 5-gallon bucket?

I have a cage that is currently housing an 8 week old litter of 8 baby rabbits. Their dropping tray is 24 inches by 36 inches, 2 inches deep. In less than a week it is almost full to the top.

Thanks DBA! Roughly 7.5 gallons/week, or a bit less than a gallon per baby rabbit per week. Call it a gallon per bunny-week. To get the volume I'd like to have, I'd need about 4 rabbits year-round. . . or maybe just get a buck and 4-5 does every spring, and raise a bunch of rabbits for a short time. From what I recall of the rabbits I had as a kid, that should be doable in 4 months or so, right?
I need to give this some more thought. Thanks again!
