I only have a 20'X20' Main Garden. Last year I rented a Tiller, told my wife I was going to have enough Organic Matter in it to where won't need no Tiller. I piled on Peat Moss, Manure with Straw, Wood Ash and Lime.
Had soil Test done, they said it was perfect. I can literally work it up with a Spade. Got it planted with all I'm going to want, mulched my Tomatoes, Peppers and Cucumbers with Straw and will mulch the rest when it comes up.
My main problem is getting enough sun light but I must be getting enough because it did well last year.
I have some Raised Beds and row of Blackberries and some Fruit Trees. Only thing I am changing is watering. I'm not watering the Trees, Bushes and Blackberries because they are now established. My thinking is I have much more than I need, if I lose production because of lack of water they should still produce plenty for me and my wife.

Glad to hear you are still happily "providing" and finding easier ways all the time! I know in a decade or so I'll have more than I can handle and I look to posts from you and others to think about my own future. Thank you so much for your sharing rockpile!!! You have lots of friends/fans cheering you on ya know!!! even those who almost never post to you! Best wishes always, -hobby-
