It happens more than not here. Our 2 large apricot trees are loaded with white blossoms now. Of course tonight's low is going to be 21 with a north wind of 15. We get a crop about every 5 years..oh well some times your the bug and some times your the windshield

My temp right now at 8AM is 8ºF. A foot of snow still on the ground and our roofs are still snow covered. No spring here.

CF, its coming. Of course we got a heavy frost last night. While feeding this morning I walked past the asparagus bed and I got on spear about the size of a pencil. Better temps next week.

We currently have no snow on the ground and last night and tonight's temperatures are around 26 deg F. The weather projections for temperatures for the next 2 weeks stay barely above freezing at night, while warmer during the day. Wisconsin, very variable.
Our garlic is just peeking above ground in the areas that get the most sun.

I could have written the same post; it was the same temp at 8:00, and we have the same amount of snow on the ground. There were big bare spots on the roof Thursday, but an inch of snow Thursday night - followed by high temperatures in the 20's yesterday - took care of covering those green shingles that had the nerve to show their faces in March. This is the time of year when I get so anxious for spring. This is also the time of year when spring plays hide and seek - emphasis on "hide".

Old man winter is leaving the building. I was out doing evening chores and heard my first Turkey gobbler. So spring is coming

DH applied for his turkey tags on line this afternoon. I don't know which are the wild ones and which belong to the neighbor.
I found some comfrey coming up around the fruit trees. I let it get almost to the point of bloom then cut it as a green manure.
Peeper frogs singing all around us.
The ramps I planted last spring are about 4" tall
So far, none of the fruit trees have broken dormancy, thank goodness.
