I know sheep are herd animals and not happy on their own. How big a flock do you need to keep them content? I'm thinking one of the hair sheep breeds if it makes any difference.

3 or more is good. More to harass than just each other...James

In any group, three makes a flock. In any case, watch them under different circumstances and you can sort out the leader. She will actually give instruction to the others.

Min of three.
I have an mid aged Ewe, and two wethers... luckily the wethers are smarter than the ewe and ruled by their stomachs. LOL
