She lived just behind me 4 kids and a marvelous husband. I loved her absolutely adored her and her family. She was the kind of girl that came over in per pajamas to see in my pajamas and we baked bread together. One day I saw her laying on the grass next to the garden. I went out and asked her if she was okay, and she wasn't. I don't recall what was wrong but she was sick. Today, mr feather was out in the garden planting onions and laying out in an unnatural position, and my heart just dropped (not the first time) and I yelled out, are you okay, and he was, and I was so much relieved. Thank God these moments only last moments. Otherwise his heart attack would me mine. I don't think I would want to live without him.

I'm sorry for your friend and glad Mr. F is fine. I think I gave my kid a heart attack. I was out mowing the pasture on a tractor/belly mower when some baling twine got wrapped up around the blades. He came out to see why the tractor was stopped and saw me laying on the ground next to it, half under it and he came running and yelling. All was well, but it is definitely a scary thing to look out and see someone on the ground, when you expect them to be upright.

mzgarden, that's exactly what I thought, why isn't he upright. I'm sorry your son felt that way when you went through that. I'm sorry you went through that.

++++++++ I did that once... Mowed my yard and the bulk of my neighbors. About 2/3 the way done and found where the kids left the 25' cable dog tie out.. Even with a 25 hp, diesel compact tractor that is a sudden stop.. Left a sweaty face plant pattern on the hood as I went over the steering wheel.. Luckily it wound on the spindle closest to the discharge chute.. Stupid inlaws of some kind babysitting the kids while they worked all watched from the window not saying, you OK ? or anything else..
A compact tractor, much larger than a yard tractor with a mower deck will pick up silverware the kids had in the sand box and stick it in the garage siding.. Never mowed for them again..

Tim Horton, they watched from the window and didn't do anything for you? That seems so heartless it's scary.
