Power out fir 15 hours last night. Started the generator on the motor home, plugged the freezers into that system. Slept in the motor home, so had AC.
Forest fire still raging, 5 homes lost, 490 homes evacuated, 30,000 acres so far. No containment at this point. Still quite a distance from me, growing in four directions. Smoke laying in heavy this morning, soot covering everything. Can hear the aircraft fighting the fit, but to smoky to see them. Upper 90's today, then two days of 100. Feel sorry for the fire fighters.
To top everything else off, some trash of the earth, broke the windows out of the fire fighters vehicles, parked at a rural fire station. Guess they can find reason to blame Trump for that too.

Prayers for your safety farmerjack, that is so frightening! You are that close to see soot covering everything? That sounds too close for comfort🙏

Thanks folks. Fire situation looking good today. Heavy smoke gone. They had 1000 fire fighters on the line yesterday. Need to make more headway today, wind forecast tomorrow is up to 40 MPH.
Evrtyone have a good day.
