Wildfires can't be prevented (they could be reduced) and they evolved as a natural part of the environment. They are most harmful to people, but people are a late addition. The best way to reduce wildfire harm to people and the environment is with controlled burns. That is most Mother Naturely like.
Wildfires are like hurricanes. They do a lot of damage and they can kill people. But they are natural and can bring benign rains to other areas so that crops can grow and food can be plentiful and cheap and starving people can eat.
We talk a lot about controlling wildfires, but not about controlling population. Over time, which one will damage the planet most?
