I need a recipe for a mild chili powder. When you buy your spices to make it, do you buy the more expensive spices? Thanks.

Love Chili ...... but we are not food connoisseurs. Most any brand works for us. If we get some that is not as flavorful..... we just add more.
Once, I bought one that had another spice mixed in with it. We did not like that one. So, since then, I buy just plain Chili Powder.

It is ground dry chili peppers. Nothing else.
Edited to add. I add other spices when cooking, not in a premade mix.

I have trouble with hot and spicy. In my chili I use ginger and garlic. Spicy enough for me with no tummy problems.

If you are talking chili powder 'mild' is considered a four-letter word not to be used in polite circles.
