I have plenty of seeds for a bountiful garden this year. I was thinking that while seeds are available, I might grab some extra seeds for next year.

Beat you to it, Wally. I bought extras this year. I ordered on line from 3 places and after seeing the websites for each advise that they would be open for ordering only as long as it took to get as many orders as they could pick and prepare for shipment within that day, I decided to expand my choices and quantities. Who knows about next year? And I'll be saving more seed than usual as well.

I totally agree with having good seed stock on hand for next year. I am, however, having issues with germination on stuff kept more than 2 years, except my tomatoes. Trying to keep them dark, dry, and cool. I definitely need to practice more seed saving. How is your garden now? Ready for spring prepping?

vanalpaca, as per usual here in Missouri, our weather is up and down, down and back up. After that awful polar vortex, we got up into the 70's and now we're closer to normal, a bit above. Our average last frost date is in mid April. I've seen measurable snow in early April, light frosts on Memorial Day and a killing frost one year on the Thursday after Memorial Day. I just don't get too excited about planting anything in the ground except the hoop house beds. I have lots of stuff coming on in the house right now though.
May I assume you raise alpacas? Are you a spinner?
