Started out by diggin' a few worms. Next we found a couple of old rods with reels and put on the littlest hooks we could find in Gramma's old tackle box. A couple of tiny weights and bobbers and we were ready to head to the creek! Man ~~~ those little creek chubs were a hungary bunch. In no time at all we had caught 12 of 'em. But then ! That's when the real fun started! We had used up all the worms so this Gramma taught the 6 and 10 year old, her old trick. Told those boys how, when you run outta worms, you can cut open one of the first fish you caught, and use their guts in place of the worms. That way you can still keep on fishing.
Once we started using fish guts and a fish head for bait, that's when a big ole snapping turtle started chasing our tiny little hooks! LOTS OF EXCITEMENT!
'Bout that time their Daddy showed up to take them home ☹️......
They both think their Gramma is pretty darn COOL! YUP! They want to come back tomorrow.
I love being a Gramma!
