DD has created a very FUN activity for her family and neighbors. You have probably heard of, or, seen a Slip N’ Slide.
Well, DD has created a slip ‘n slide in the extreme. They have a really, nicely sloped hill in the pasture close to their house. It even includes a perfectly placed bump bout halfway down.
First thing they need to do is remove the temporary fencing. Then they need to cleanup any animal droppings.
Dd has purchased from a farm store, a large piece of heavy duty plastic. The type used to construct green houses. Her piece is 4 ml thick, 10 ft wide, by 100 feet long.
They start at the top of the hill and unroll it down the hill, tacking it down about every 20 feet. A hose provides a continuous trickle of water. A few occasional drops from a jug of DAWN soap provide lubricant.
A few inner-tubes and other pool floatie toys provided different sliding options.
What a hoot!
Whether they go singlely, or, 8 kids all linked together ….. there are lots of giggles and squeals!
In was particularily fun watching the Mennonite children and ladies going down the slide! No bathing suits for them. They went just as they were …..aprons and bonnets and all. And, the boys in their suspenders!
I think most of the ladies had no intention of getting wet …… but once they saw the others ….. one by one ….. they submitted ……. They slipped off their shoes, and gathered their skirts and joined the fun!….
Lots of Country Fun!

Since they used some dish soap in the process, maybe they could call it CLEAN Country Fun.

Our kids used to do this. They have a smaller one for the grandchildren but I am sure as they get older it will get longer!

Believe it or not, the entire bridal party did that at my son and DIL's engagement party! They had a blast and those of us that didn't participate had a good laugh!
