Day 21 will be Monday. I've got 33 eggs in the incubator (hopefully most will hatch). On Wed. I have a cackle surprise box coming that promises at least 40 chicks. I'll be overrun with chicks if everything hatches/survives.

I can't think of anything better to be over run with you must post pictures of all the babies and so much joy seeing what you get in the surprise box.

this thread reminds me of this "of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most"
I hope you have happy chicken dreams and even if you have lost your mind, just be sure to not go clucking nuts have fun with them all

Such a loaded question! Well of course you have, but in a very happy way. I have a hen that should be coming off the nest very soon - looking forward to seeing if she brings off a hatch.

I hatched 2 dozen last month, got them some guinea friends from the feed store, and now have 3 dozen to hatch Sunday. I told dh I'm really, really tempted to leave the incubator running ALL summer.

With the way this bird flu is affecting the midwest I may run the incubator all summer also. Might be the only way to really fill the freezer. And I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how tender the roos were last year. I left them "age" in the frig for about 4 days (learned that over at the other place).
