Post office called and said chicks here. I ordered Saturday, hatched on Tuesday and arrived today. These are Naked Neck or Turkens as some call them.

I've never had that breed -- what drew you to them, out of curiosity?

Years ago we ordered Bantams. They only came assorted. A beautiful blue gray naked neck was in the batch. She quickly became a favorite. Good layer, friendly, just a pleasure to have. Now they say they are rare among Bantams. So these are standards in size.they will be big hens, some say start laying in 41/2 months. .. I have black, white , and at least one red, and the varieties in black.
They can be any color.

I've seen them in photos. I think it gets too cold in Michigan for them. Can you post a picture of them?

Don't know how, Maura. Never do figure that out. Tell me and I will try.

I googled them, “my what long necks you have😘”. They looked much larger than chickens I’ve known. Being they’re a pleasure & good layers, they’re a good match for you!

I guess some people can't stand the looks of them. But they are not ugly in my eyes. I think they will be far easier than ducks to raise.

We've had a few Turkens over the years and they've all been calm and good laying hens.
