Read here, not to use ultra pasturized milk. Looked at label, doesn't say anything about that. Does label, actually say ultra pasturized? If not, what does it say?

I've seen some of them say ultra pasteurized where regular says pasteurized, cream and organic milk often does for longer shelf life.

Have fun with that labeling quagmire.
Why, precisely, are you interested in knowing? Is the milk in question for general consumption/cooking, or, cheese making?

Several recipes have called for reg pasturized milk. Saying not to use ultra pasturized. Wish I could afford raw milk; $10 gal is more than I want to spend.

Some recipes, like cheese, need the enzymes in the milk. Ultra pasteurization kills them. The only place I've ever see the ultra pasteurized stuff is in quart size cartons on the shelf. Not in the refrigerated section. Of course that might be a local thing.

I've seen ultra pasteurized on cream and on the shelf stable milk cartons. If you're just using regular pasteurized milk, then that's the normal jugs of milk at the grocery. I haven't seen regular pasteurized cream in many years. Pretty sure in my area it's all ultra pasteurized now. First time I ever heard of it was from a friend who was a commercial cake baker. She said never use the ultra- it didn't work right.
Now I milk my own cows so I just use raw and go from there.

We have it pretty good around here. Never pay more than $4.50 for a gal of raw milk, sometimes less.
