Everyday, for the past several days, we have been treated to the sight of a mother deer with two small fawns, here in our woods. I consider this to be a gift from God!
The babies still have their spots. They are fun to watch as they scamper close behind their mother.
We are surprised to see them so close to the house each day, rather in the deepest part of the woods.

It's not uncommon for us to see wildlife near our yard. We had 8 adults out closer to the road earlier this week and Monday morning I saw a flock of 3 adult turkeys followed by 12-15 poults, good sized ones, but easily keeping up with their parents.

Thats so awesome, I'd love seeing deer right on my property!!! Funny we never saw the deer here, knew they were in the woods. Last week while visiting my daughter there was a buck in her resting spot, another I saw with my son on the way out of our street, right on the corner of our street!!!
I like this sort of change a whole lot!!!

Nothing runs like a deer.

Jolly, especially if it's into the side of your truck when you are going at highway speeds and can't slow down...Ask me how I know.

Deer cross my yard every day to access the bean field across the road. The other day my big yellow riding mower was sitting on the lawn. A doe and her two fawns walked across the lawn then stopped and stared. The fawns, behind the mother, looked at each other, turned and ran. The mother continued to stare at the mower. She looked behind her, back at the mower, then behind her. It was a "what the hell?" moment. She just stood there looking at the empty spot, then turned and followed them into the trees.
