Cleaning my own cost me 20 bucks! I was so tired by the time I was finished, I had to order a pizza ... (I need to conserve my remaining energy to work in the garden.)

I agree with you. When I had my cleaning jobs I did them & did them well. Now doing my own house takes some motivation. I have been tackling the kitchen today because I needed room to can my rabbits.

I kinda clean my own house the same way I do my clients'. During the week, when I'm working 8-10 hours a day, I don't bother to do anything beyond keeping up with the dishes, laundry and watering the plants. (Numb sweeps the floors for me.) Then I take a day on the weekend and do the whole house from top to bottom -- dust, vacuum, change the linens, clean the bathroom, mop the floors, eliminate ALL clutter. It feels so nice to have everything tidy at once! Since our house is tiny, it usually only takes me a couple of hours. Today I did a few extra projects, like unloading a bookcase and taking it outside for a fresh coat of paint. Since I skipped out of fixing dinner, I went outdoors and worked in my container garden until an hour past dark! (There is a yard light over my potting bench.) Even the cow gave up and went to sleep.

I do a little something every day so it doesn't get too overwhelming. I'm actually looking forward to the smaller house, even though I know I will need to make MAJOR adjustments.

I also clean in my sleep....then, I am disappointed when I wake up and those things aren't done. LOL

I thought you meant you were sleep-walking cleaning & thought how nice that you get a head start! Never mind (blush). I have so much paperwork & indoor projects but I can't stand to be inside these days!
