Scotland, Joining England and Wales, Will Restrict Bully XL Dogs
The bully, or American bully as it is also known, is a relatively new breed that is a mix of pit bull and other terriers as well as bulldogs.
The policy in England and Wales, which fully kicks in at the end of this month, makes it illegal to sell, give away, abandon or breed a bully XL. The dogs must be kept on a leash and muzzled in public. Those who want to keep their dogs must apply for an exemption and microchip and neuter their dogs.

It would seem they don't want things to get out of hand. You start mixing breeds and you don't know what you will get. Or may be they do know what they get and it's all bad.

I can't say that I agree with any type of breed specific legislation. As a groomer for 30 years, the nastiest dogs I've dealt with were Dachshunds and Mini Schnauzers. The pit/bully breeds that I have dealt with have all been sweet, well behaved and easy to work with.
At one point in time, we vilified the German Shepard, the Doberman, the Rottie. Now it's the pit bull. When are they going to blame the humans?
