Healthier and more sustainable chocolate could hit store shelves after Swiss scientists and chocolatiers developed a recipe that swaps sugar for waste plant matter. By mashing up the pulp and husk of a cocoa pod instead of just taking the beans, scientists have made a sweet and fibrous gel that could replace the sugar in chocolate, according to a report published in Nature Food.

Why can't the damn scientists leave well enough alone? I only eat chocolate rarely, but I'll quit for good before I eat that c--p!
Why can't they leave food to farmers, to grow it the way God intended. It's these new food type substances etc., that are making us all so sick.
We shouldn't be eating seed oils or artificial sweeteners, or dyes and preservatives. We shouldn't be spraying herbicides and pesticides that are killing our soil life. It's all designed for companies to make money, with no regard for our health. The European countries will not allow the sale of these "foods" in their countries without the companies changing the ingredients lists. But the FDA doesn't care.
The FDA is not our friend.

I won't get started on the FDA, AMA and other entities that are supposed to protect our health and well-being. It's all about Big Food and Big Pharma making money and to heck with the American people.
If a cure for cancer were found tomorrow, how long would we have to wait for testing, etc., to be complete so said protocol could be implemented? But a new "disease" comes on the scene and all of a sudden it's okay to inoculate billions with an untested "vaccine." Somebody is making a load of money from all that.
Like I said, don't get me started but unless I back away now, I will be "started" for sure.

Mogal, there are cures for cancer. One of them is high dose Vitamin C. It has been tested many times, then hushed.

Maura, the operative word in your post is "HUSHED." You can't patent vitamin C so Big Pharma can't make any money off it...

Well, great, another thing I have to read ingredient on before eating! "Real" sugar is okay, but any of the artificial sweeteners give me headaches ranging from mildly annoying to flat out there-goes-the-day migraine.

Even if they found a cure for cancer, big pharma needs to keep us sick enough to need meds for life. They don't want to cure disease, just manage it. That way they have customers for life. Very healthy for their bottom line. Not so much for us.
