Severe storm damage was reported last night for northern Crow Wing County, in the area of Lake Emily and Crosby. Thats the exact area where Cabin Fever and WIHH live!
Many trees down. Pontoon boats flipped upside down. Travel homes rolled over. Vast power outages.
This info was from KARE News out of Minneapolis.
Pehaps Cabin Fever will chime in with an update.
@bowdonkey , any damage near you?
My son lives in southern Crow Wing County, and says they only got a light shower.

I don't want severe storms but we do need some rain here!

High wind, lots of rain and tree damage, but not much else. The garden survived! After work I took the pots into the garage for protection against hail, which fortunately we never got. One of the advantages of container planting. But moving 25 10-15 gallon pots was quite a chore. The day before the storm we got all the chainsaws, ATVs and trucks ready to go at work. Lots of washing of the trail surfaces, but overall we dodged the bullet.

An outdoors kind of job sounds most interesting, but way up north where you are, also, sounds as if your winters could be brutal for outdoor employment! I found out Cabin Fever and WIHH are not even at home to experience the most recent storm first hand. But, rather, they are somewhere up in the Yukon!

CF and WIHH are on the road again. I'm sure they have an update from neighbors.
I personally wouldn't live in northern Minnesota, too much bad weather.

Youngest stepson and wife live in a travel trailer on the Gulf coast. A small tornado struck a house about 50 yards away and tore off part of the roof and picked up a shed.
