Yup, it’s been that hot here all last week. It was brutal. 🔥 this week it’s down to 85-90, but so very humid. There have been showers during the night and severe thunderstorms. Not too fond of this newest heat wave.
I had my privet hedges trimmed back second week in May and they need it again already. Normally I only have them cut end of May and the end of July. They stay manicured until the next May. I can’t afford three cuttings per summer !!!! Everything is growing at such odd times, earlier than usual like the lilacs and almost every perennial I have.
The Lantern flies have arrived and lots of them. If I see one in the house I’ll flip.

I know it gets warmer earlier in the spring and stays warm longer into the fall.
