Finally took a photo of the Welsummers Pullets I got last month. They are doing well. The one Marans that came with, isn't as sweet and gentle as the other two I got last year. Might be a different blood line. Welsummers are sweet though. Here is two of them.

Very pretty; have always wanted Welsummers... Just curious, How many chicks do you have at this time?! You seem very busy!

Lets see... bantam chicks so far.... need to count on fingers and toes... Think 25.... seems like a lot.. but if it is like previous years.. will end up with a lot of Roosters. With the ordered eggs shipped to me, hatching rate has been a little less than 50%. Not good. Still have 15 Ameraucana bantams to come in, and have the 12 d'Uccle Golden neck hatching eggs due to arrive at any time. For the big chickens.. just have the 4, I bought as Pullets... Plus the 14 Full sized Ameraucana hatching eggs two of my hens are sitting on now. I hope I get a better than 50% hatch rate out of those. Yes, very busy, LOL and running out of room. I hope this is the last year I have to do this. Would like to get my breeding stock set up... and if I need more chicks, let them raise the babies for me. Was going to see about getting some Turkey hatching eggs but I think I will hold off on that until next year.
