So, as you know,, I sold the 4 Lavender Ameraucana bantams, after my best one died. Had 15 chicks on order. Ya.. not a smart move on my part.
Lots of hatching issues with the breeder, incubator problems and so on. Got an email from her, saying the best she can do is 7 Lavender AB chicks... but she can add some White Ameraucana bantam chicks to make up the difference.
Not that I wanted white,, but their eggs are a pretty blue... and sounds like they have a better hatch rate.
So they will be shipped out today... should arrive in a couple of days.
Can raise them with the d'Anver chicks I have in the house now.
Will post photos as soon as they arrive.

Sorry things didn't work out well for you with your order. Hopefully you will be pleased with what you get and the hatch rates will go up. Maybe next season the breeder will have more AB chicks or eggs?

Some is better than none..... happy I am getting at least a few. Also keeping my fingers crossed they ship well and all arrive alive!
Once I have the foundation stock I want.... future years... I will just have to hatch out my own, if I need more.
If I need to cross the Lavenders and whites to get better hatch rater at a later date...I will. They would end up being black chicks.. but that is fine, as long as they keep the nice blue egg color.
