There is a lady in my state that bought a flock of 20 chicks, one of which has been bullied by the others. She has to be kept separate from the others because of her behavior. The lady is looking to rehome her. The chick is 1/4 the size of the other birds her age and in the picture appears listless, just laying there. Not bright eyed and curious like most chicks I have seen. How likely is it that the chick is ill and the others attack her because of it? I wanted to help, but I don't want to introduce disease in my flock. What do you all think, what would you do?

I admire the instinct to help but it could sicken or kill your flock so why risk it? Just trying to think of the greater good here. What if it were avian flu or something that toxic?

I agree. I wouldn't take the chance of introducing disease into my own flock. Sometimes the most merciful thing you can do is put a sick chicken out of its misery.
