I am curious what everyone is having for Easter. I haven't even planned ours yet. We will be cooking for at least 12 to 25. You never know who is going to come. We will have it at mom and dad's house as they are elderly and have difficulty getting out. Dad is on dialysis and really shouldn't have ham, but that is what he loves. Last year we had a pork roast. I would love to have something different this year. Mom always cook and baked a lot. She doesn't do it anymore. She expects me to make at least 6 pies. I have done that for the last few holidays and it is very tiring. I would rather do simple and easy. Any ideas?

I make roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, corn, cole slaw, dirt pudding, peanut butter pie, & cherry cheesecake. I think I would be in trouble if I ever change my menu. I have my in-laws over every year & I have been told to not change what I make because they love it.

Everyone has to be somewhere for a big dinner at noon, so have requested I do supper. I am going to make a buffet of sliced ham and turkey, cheese, potato salad, baked beans, red beet eggs, veggie tray. I put out a request notice for desserts, telling family I would pick 3. They need to let me know by Thursday. My niece said that is why they like to come eat at my house; it's for the desserts.

Mrs wally and myself are wondering the same thing, both dd are nurses and will be working so they won t be coming, Mrs Wally on new diet. Guess I will settle for a thick rib eye steak, with baked tater and some veggie. I hate when that happens....

Ham for sure. I am thinking scalloped potatoes, sweet potatoes and apples, pasta salad, baked beans, oatmeal dinner rolls, devilled eggs, and probably corn, a veggie tray, and a cheese tray. For dessert key lime pie, lemon pie and candy! Lots and lots of candy...

We butchered a ram right around Christmas (we give homegrown meat for presents every year). Held back a leg for us, so we'll be having a traditional Easter Lamb on Sunday. I'll make twice-baked spuds or garlic mash, as well as herbed green beans. Don't know about dessert. I could make a blueberry, cherry, or pumpkin pie, but what I'd really like is baklava.

We are having prime rib and ham. The kids are bringing all of the sides. I'm finally allowing myself to let them help.

Smoked silver grey squirrel, steamed baby carrots with butter and chives and deviled, smoked, hard boiled eggs. Relish tray of celery sticks, black olives, sweet pickles and radishes. Strawberry shortcake for dessert.
Drop biscuits with 2 TBS honey added for the cake with a dollop of whipped sweet goats cream on top of the strawberries....James

We are actually going to have a Friday night Sedar meal from a Christian perspective....so we are having lamb. This could be a disaster. I have NEVER fixed lamb. Kids are coming tomorrow to help me prepare the sides. I can't wait to see the grandkids faces when they taste the horseradish. Hope we make a great memory.

It looks like lasagna and rolls. For dessert we will be having a four layer cake with different Easter colors for the kids. We are having strawberry shortcake with homemade biscuits and whipped cream. It sure is going to be a busy weekend ,but fun!

We are having financial struggles, and are busier than normal, so we've settled on doing a spaghetti feed. I'm baking a couple loaves of sourdough for garlic bread and dh is making meatballs today. Tomorrow all I have to do is boil pasta, season some sauce, and set out a cheese bar. All the family are bringing sides. It was DHs idea, and so glad he thought of it. All in I think the dinner for 13 people has cost us $40.
... Maybe we will make this a tradition. Ha!

I'm not sure what DD is making, either ham or lamb. All I'm making is desert. We usually decide at church, get together for supper. Our niece and nephew will com too and we all have just about anything you want to eat.

Keeping it simple, since I worked in the kitchen garden today. Just some left over beef roast, with some rice and Veggies. Mabye a Banana smoothy for a treat afterwards.

We had a very Polish / Slovak Easter dinner - ham, kielbasa, pierogies, pagash, pickled eggs, nut roll, and poppy seed roll.
