OK, so at the other board we had a nice, little sticky with posts about identifying your machine, as well as where to find free manuals.

quiltingboard.com  - especially the vintage & antique machines enthusiasts section. They have great stickies of the "how-to's", including how to clean your machine (inside & out), how to refinish cabinets, sources for parts, etc. The folks there really love old sewing machines, are a wealth of information and very helpful & generous with their knowledge.
