I am going to attempt to post a picture of our little pom and our cats without going through photobucket. If it doesn't work, I will use photobucket. Our little Buddy. We took him in when the people who owned him were moving and told our son that if they didn't find a home for him, they would have to put him down. He was only 6 months old. I couldn't stand that. He is now a part of our family and almost 5 years old. Ok, it didn't work. I don't know how to make my pictures smaller. Oh well, photobucket to the rescue. LOL These are our cats, Callie on the left and Aeris on the right. They were both dumped on us. Callie was so thin that I wasn't sure she would make it. Aeris had had a broken leg. It healed back crooked. Our vet said as long as she was getting along with it, to leave it alone. She limps, but keeps ahead of Callie. Callie is 9 and Aeris 8 I believe. Callie is my baby and Aeris prefers dh.

“He’ll go to the pound” is a common guilt trip. I once took a dog that was going to the pound (he really was) and wished I hadn’t. Since then I have been guilted several times, but never fell for it again. On the bright side, you have a real nice dog and your son was compassionate.

Right now we have 3 dogs. Happy Girl, who is around 9. She is a rescue, a sweet wild woman, and figures she is in charge when I am not home. Here she is sporting her West Point t-shirt on game day. (She had allergies and we were trying to keep her from chewing on herself). Willow and Jake. Willow on the left is also a rescue. She is 2, and very sweet, but also very fearful. They would only place her with a family with grown or no children. She is great at home, but hides when people come over, except she loves babies. We fostered Jake for the rescue and fell in love with him. We adopted him in January. I have two kitties, Patches, who is 16, and Greybe who is 5. Patches is here under the tree. We just found out she is hyperthryoid and has kidney issues, but I hope she is around a long time. She is very sweet, and really keeps the shepherds in line. I have to look for a pic of Greybe, and I don't have one of our bunny, so more picture taking later.

Here are 5 of my Westies. They like to watch out the window, there are deer, turkeys, occasional moose, elk, or something else.

They are really fun! We spend a lot of time with them, do obedience and some rally. They are good about staying in the yard, but we don't trust them very far. Too many things up here would like to eat them. We had two eagles one day that thought they were going to have lamb for lunch-they got within about 30 feet of the Westies and me with claws out. I finally scared them away. Found out they had a nest just over our property line!
