Most people hate cleaning their bathtub, and who can blame them? As a housecleaner, I clean a dozen or more tubs a week, so I've figured out some shortcuts to make the task a little less unpleasant. Here's what ya do: 1) Remove all the tub clutter (shampoo bottles, etc.), wiping them down as you go. 2) Spray down the tub surround with bathroom cleaner. (Don't spray the actual tub yet; just the walls.) 3) Lay a clean, dry towel or rag over the edge of the tub. Step inside carefully, and, using a magic eraser moistened with bathroom cleaner, begin scrubbing the walls to about waist height, as far down as you can reach comfortably from a standing position. 4) Sit on the towel on the edge of the tub, and scrub the rest of the surround, down to the edge of the tub. 5) Climb out of the tub, spray in the inside with bathroom cleaner, and while kneeling, scrub out the inside of the tub (use the dry towel to keep your shirt from getting wet). 6) Hose off all the bathroom cleaner with the sprayer attachment, or pour water from a bucket to rinse the tub and surround. 7) Lay a towel or rag in the bottom of the tub and stand on it while you wipe down the top of the surround. Then sit on the edge of the tub again to polish the bottom and the inside of the tub. 8) Replace all the clutter. 9) You're done! See, that wasn't so bad after all, was it?

If I am in a hurry and don't care if I do a completely meticulous job, I spray cleaner, let it sit a few minutes while I clean the rest of the bathroom then use a toilet brush (designated only for this job!) to scrub the entire thing then rinse. It works pretty good and is quick.
