Last year I visited a local bakery and cafe that sells the molds for these cookies. I decided to purchase a few and try my hand at this since it was only a few weeks before Christmas and every year I like to try a cookie I've never made before. The owners were really nice and spent quite a bit of time with me, gave me the recipe they use, tips and advice. Unfortunately, right after that I ended up having surgery which put an end to my Christmas baking. I'm wanting to try this year though.
I'm assuming there is a learning curve. They told me it does take a little practice but it isn't too hard, just start with smaller molds and some patience.
Has anyone ever made these? What was your experience? Any advice? I've used stamps and regular molds but have never worked with springele dough before.
