It is that time of year again. Too much to do and not enough time to get it done.
As with most of us winter has taken a long time to release its cold hands from where we live. Many of us are getting a late start with garden planting; general clean up; home repairs
and the list continues....... Every year I make myself do the work first and then get the boat ready to go fishing. It is to the point I don't even want to look at the boat.
The yard is a mess and thankfully my property isn't to large. It is certainly large enough for an old man. Add the garden plus other projects and you all get the picture.
As I type this I know I should be outdoors working. Hey.., even a dog gets a drink of water and a rest... LOL
My boat is a 16 foot deep and wide jon boat. Perfect for lake fishing with the grandchildren who want to know when we are going. I only got it out once last fall.
I was wiring it for 12 and 24 volt power. I put in floors and pedestal seat. The lakes I fish are electric only lakes. I have several motors both 12 and 24 volt perfect for the lakes.
The fishing rods are covered with dust. LOL aAnd I guess they will stay that way until the work is done.
Does anyone have experience wiring a solenoid? I want to use it in the 12/24 wiring system for my Motor Guide foot control motor. Any help would be a big time saver and maybe keep me from frying the solenoid and the trolling motor. It would be a remote switch to the front of the boat.
I hope all is well and you all catch some fish soon..... Best, NJ Rich
