Easy: Boil up 1.5c sugar, 3/4c water, 1 stick of cinnamon, 3 whole cloves and 7 smashed juniper berries for five minutes. Add 12oz of cranberries and cook till they've all popped.
Smells like Christmas! Enjoy!
Lasts a long time in the fridge, too. Great with pork chops!

This is our cranberry dish at the holidays
Cranberry orange walnut salad....James
Ingredients 2 oranges 2 cups fresh cranberries 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup chopped walnut pieces 1 cinnamon stick 2 whole cloves
Directions Finely grate the zest of half of one orange into a medium saucepan, then squeeze in all of the juice. Add the cranberries, sugar, cinnamon and cloves, cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and the cranberries start to pop, about 10 minutes. Remove cinnamon stick and cloves. Add walnuts and sections of the other orange, peeled and membrane removed, cut each segment into 4-6 pieces. Cool, refrigerate an hour or more so flavors meld.
