Thanks everyone that gave advice in my does fighting buck thread. I ended up letting nature take over and they worked it out amongst themselves. The buck has been housed with our three does for just over a week now. He took a strong liking to one of the girls right away and has seemed to show an interest in all of them on and off.
Two have been in heat over the past couple of days and the third should be within the next day or two if she isn't already, she can be a bit harder to detect. He's been showing an interest in all of them but I haven't seen any telltale signs that he's gotten the job done. They are all just over eight months old, the girls are a bit bigger than he is
Another thing I've noticed is that they seem to be showing some signs of heat ( very swollen and pink vulvas), but their backsides have been rather dry. Usually they are pretty messy. Any ideas?
I'm worried that they're all too inexperienced or that he's not big enough although most people I've asked have said he should be able to get the job done.

Inexperience never slowed any up at my place. And 5 months old buckling were quite capable of getting the larger mature does bred. There would be a few times where he might have over balanced and fell backwards but persistence wins out. And boy are goats persistent.

Thanks here to stay I was hoping someone would come in to say that. Do you think it's possible that the deed happened overnight and there wasn't "evidence" by morning or should there be some kind of sign?

tractorgrl , I don't usually see evidence on the doe after an hour or so. If I ran my buck with the does I doubt I would see most of the breeding's. I hand breed so I always know the due date, the guessing game would drive me insane! LOL So yes, it is quite possible that he got them. Maybe he was just shy What breed/s are they? If you are still unsure, I would pull some blood from the does 30 days after you pull the buck and send it out to BioTracking. I don't think it is very expensive and it might ease your mind www.biotracking.com/goats/biopryn/faqs

Thanks @goatlady that makes me feel a little better. I .guess I just need to wait it out at this point. I am going to try handbreeding next year instead. I'd really like to learn how to AI but not sure if anyone in my area does it. I'm guessing it's not exactly like a cow LOL.and thank you for the preg test lab, I had seen a few but want sure who was reputable.
They are lamanchas.

I have all the equipment and nitro tank to do goat AI, and have never used any of it - probably should find someone who wants to buy it from me, but there's still this niggling doubt in the back of my head..."what if". At one time we were heavily into dairy goats (and LaManchas are MY favorite, too), but after Abby outgrew 4-H, I ended up disbanding the herd. I should be manygoatsNOmore. I still enjoy lurking here in the goats forum, though, and always happy to see someone knowledgeable from the "other board" join us.

Ooops, just found out that our @goatlady here is NOT the "goatlady" from the "other forum". My mistake for assuming things not in evidence. You know what they say about assuming, lol. I still say WELCOME to our new member, who has already jumped in and been very helpful in her answers. It's easy to see that you care about goats and know of which you speak!

I always found the infamous "pooch" test useful.
