I will make an apple pie and possibly pumpkin. Definitely some cookies not sure what kinds tho. I made peanut butter fudge with walnuts last week. Idk. I may do cpl more things but we really don't need all the sugar, so why make a lot?

We have a big Christmas Eve party, so I'm counting on our guests to take care of the sugar issue for us! (:

In the past two days I have baked almond coconut dream bars, chocolate chip cookies, apricot bread, banana chocolate chip bread, and cinnamon rolls. I think we are good for our sugar fix through New Years.

double post. No idea why the first time I hit the post button and nothing happens. I wait a minute and nothing. So I hit the post button and boom now there are two posts. So frustrating. Does this happen to anyone else?

Have to finish my cards and decorating tomorrow, then will start the cookies! Our kids consider my chocolate chip cookies their favorite Christmas cookie along with Mexican wedding cake and a great chocolate refrigerator cookie. Cannot wait to start.

Last Thurs, Fri and Saturday, I made:
chocolate fudge toffee peanut brittle spiced almonds cinnamon sugar pretzels pb kiss cookies thumbprint cookies sugar cookies gingerbread men (and women)
Those were all for gift-giving (family Christmas on my side was yesterday). For my own house, this week I plan to make some more fudge, sugar cookies, pb kiss cookies, and candy cane cookies (basically sugar cookie dough, half of which is colored red, then twisted with the 'white' dough into cane shapes, and sprinkled with crushed peppermint candies and sugar after baking). And chex mix! I always make chex mix to take for snacking on while at DH's side's family Christmas. (Mainly because his mom and sisters are not the best cooks, if you know what I mean, and we tend to get hungry while visiting at their homes).

This Christmas, my homemade goodies consist of double chocolate fudge, caramelized pecans and caramel apple cheesecake pies. Husband and I plan to cut back on our carb intake beginning Jan 2nd. I'm hoping that there won't be many sweets left over after our family and friends Christmas get-together.

I give cookies, fudge, cakes, etc. for gifts. This year I asked mom if it would be okay for me not to have to bake pies because it is so time consuming. Mom and Dad can't do any of the cooking or baking anymore so it is up to me to do it. I will let you know what I plan on making.

DH is in the kitchen now making sugar cookies. I'm normally the cook, but he's a good cook too. Whatever they turn out like, I'm sure they'll be fine. Many times my loved ones have happily eaten my mistakes.

Just took the apple pie out of the oven. It was the last of our canned apples from last year. Someone needs to make bread or rolls for tomorrow BUT since it's not my turn to cook...we will see. I plan on quilting tomorrow...my treat to myself!

I made 6 pints of cranberry orange sauce to take to Niece's on Christmas eve to give as gifts for Sweeties side and one to take to DDs, Christmas morning to have with dinner. Will help Sweetie make a pecan pie this afternoon. We will have a small dinner with DS Christmas evening. DS made the lemon curd for the tarts, Sweetie made the shortbread shells. He also made lime, orange and maybe some grapefruit curd....James
