So I have this doe that I discovered a "hot spot" on - a raw bloody patch on her neck. I figured she had been scratching it with her hoof or on something, then I saw the problem. Another doe walked up to her and began chewing on her there, pulling hair out and all. She just stood there and let her do it. Any suggestions on how to stop it?

Use some Vet Wrap to cover it, and make sure they are getting plenty of minerals
She may be doing it for the salt

After some antiseptic it's drying up and not looking raw but I'll still cover it. I just changed minerals prior to this so maybe she needed more salt? They were just getting sheep minerals and then copper bolused every few months... but they're tearing up the goat minerals with copper in it now like they've never had enough.

Yeah, she was probably craving some minerals, and the open wound was too tempting It will likely only need covering long enough to scab over
