My Nana made cherry delight desserts a lot when I was a girl. She used Dream Whip, and sometimes did a graham crust and sometimes a baked cracker & meringue. I made some for Christmas dinner from an online recipe, it's fine, but it's not the same. Way sweet and not the filling isn't cheescakish. Does anyone have recipes dating from the early 1960's? My salt&pepper book was accidentally recycled

My DH makes one that has an 8oz package of softened cream cheese, a can of sweetened condensed milk, and a third cup of lemon juice beaten together and poured into a graham cracker crust. Then it's chilled, and when set, topped with cherry pie filling.
Is that sort of what you mean? It's cheesecake-y in the middle, and cherries on the top.
