Hi all!
I've been lurking in here, but haven't posted yet. I've been playing around with soap making for awhile now, mostly plain and oatmeal batches. Yesterday I decided to add some essential oils. How the heck do you pour this stuff? Of course attempting to pour out of the bottle led to most of it dribbling down the side. I tried using a toothpick laid across the top of the bottle to direct the flow, still spilled down the side. Tried using an eyedropper, took forever. The soap is curing and the smell is awesome, but I think I lost as much on the countertop as I got in the soap. Good thing I started with inexpensive oils! So what is the best way to do this? My oils were in 2 oz containers/jars if that makes a difference.

Use a larger eyedropper. You don't have to drop it in drop by drop, just squirt. If your oils are dribbling, you are being too careful.

I use a 30ml eye dropper. Remember some EO's can melt plastic, so rinse immediately after using. Maybe a dry run using water first would help in getting to know how your particular eyedropper works. Mine has got to have a slight amount of pull left in the bulb to get it from bottle to blender without dribbling.

If the bottle doesn't have a spout I use pipettes

Place a toothpick directly along the side of your essential oil bottle, and pour the oil down the toothpick.
