I knew she was pregnant (I think), although had expected it a bit later in the month.
That darn calender in my head....as well as a goat's impeccable timing regarding birthing in all kinds of weather.
Her 3 year old daughter, Noel, gave birth at noon today, to a very nice bodied, chocolate-headed boer daughter.
So, because it's snowing again (2" on the ground and still falling lightly), I decided to evict Molly and her kids from
the barn stall and put the new arrival in there, instead. Unfortunately, Noel is more of a herd animal, unlike her mom,
who is more stand-offish, and after having to drag her into the pen, she immediately started hollaring for the rest of the gang.....
complaining of the accomodations no doubt. She does not like being cooped up, but hopefully she'll appreciate it as the day and week goes on.
And she won't have to compete for the best alfalfa hay either; a bale all her own!

congrats! Pictures are always welcome, especially for those of us who are biding our time for another week before our girls kid.
