My name is Wendy & I am addicted to goats! I picked up another Saanen & another Nubian milker today. I don't need the milk, in fact we are swimming in it already, but I just couldn't resist!

Well first step is admitting you have a problem and seems you have done that, second step is ENJOY the heck out of them

and part B of that second step is to share them by way of pictures. You just can't have enough pictures of goats.

Don't feel bad Wendy, as far as addictions go, it could be worse!

Lol, The only problem with a 12 step program for goat addicts is that it will be terribly hard to get anyone to attend (and those that do will spend all their time talking about how much they love their goats and swapping picture, not trying to quit). Kinda like the 12 step program for chicken addicts in the next forum down the page, hehe!

Yesterday I was playing with my Saanen doelings on the hill. I'd run one way...they would follow. Back and forth. I told my husband I'm going to "get 50 of them". He just nodded. I don't really even have a desire to actually milk them- that would just be a bonus. I just want to play in the middle of a herd of Saanens.

@fffarmergirl, after meeting your Saanen kids, I can totally understand. They are just so sweet. It was hard to leave them, but I knew you needed to get back to planting and I needed to get home. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

Ooops! Not quite sure how I managed to hit the wrong tag - <blushing> Yes, barefootfarmer, I meant you, of course. (See? I got it right this time, lol.) @fffarmergirl, I'd recommend Saanens - they are so gentle. I love LaManchas, too, but the earless look isn't for everyone.
