Well, Miss Picky Eater has decided that she doesn't want to eat the Pure Balance anymore. The only food she will eat regularly is Purina One Smartblend True Instinct, the one with turkey and venison. It's definitely not the best food out there, but I've got to get some weight back on her.

I have always had good luck with Eukanuba with my dogs.

Well since I had read some pretty scary reviews in regards to the Blue Buffalo Wilderness cat food (see another thread here titled "Oh happy day! The cats seem to like their new food!" homesteadingfamilies.proboards.com/thread/1433/happy-day-cats-new-food) I decided not to go with that for my dog as well and instead went with Grandma Mae's Country Naturals... ~Mari

Been feeding Diamond Naturals for several years. The dogs seem to like it, and I've got two sources within ten miles. Before that I fed Blue Buffalo, but the closest source was 40 miles away.

I feed Earthborn Holistic Primitive Natural to my 2 mutts. They seem to like it and they stay healthy on it. My pug mix gets 3/4 cup per day and the chihuahua gets about 1/3 cup.

Just popping in on this conversation. I have an English Bulldog who has had some allergy issues of late. I had her on Blue Buffalo grain free but she itched and chewed a lot even on their grain free variety. I checked a Tractor Supply and found "Earthborn Holistic" dog food. Figured I would try a bag, and it is the best thing I have done for dog food in a long time! The bag is Larger than Blue Buffalo but cheaper. Much better result with my bully girl than I imagined, and my 4 other dogs are all doing great on it, too. Soft, soft coat after the first bag, and my bully went from pooping 3-4 times a day to just once a day! Amazing stuff:-).
I am feeding the fish variety, but they have a couple of others as well. Seeing the change in my girl, I highly recommend this feed....

Yes, I am using the fish formula. It is really, really a great improvement in all of my dogs coats, but especially the change in my bulldog is awesome:-)

I started feeding Eartborn great plains to the one who has allergies. It's working great. If you register on their site they send you coupons every month or so. I buy it at Tractor Supply.

Veronica, I really like the Earthborn so far, too. My dogs coats are getting very soft and the poop amount is much, much less. Good feed!
