Our weather shifted suddenly and a biblical flood descended, soaking the lawnmower before I could dash outside. 2 days later it mowed a row and then stopped. It will not start at all. Can anything be done, or am I just out a lawnmower?

Our weather shifted suddenly and a biblical flood descended, soaking the lawnmower before I could dash outside. 2 days later it mowed a row and then stopped. It will not start at all. Can anything be done, or am I just out a lawnmower? Most likely it just is "water logged". You would have had a little gas in the carb. and fuel lines, but once you ran that out it sucked in water. Meaning it got water in the fuel system. Things that should be done to fix it assuming that it still turns over and has compression. Drain fuel tank and lines. Drain oil and replace with fresh oil. Change spark plug(s) OR Take it to a repair shop where they can tear it down and clean it..
