Y'all have probably heard of cold brewing, where you let your coffee grounds soak/stew in water for 4 to 24 hours, then filter/strain. Well, we had gone on a long drive vacation to see my son in Minot. On the way and on the way back I made the best iced mocha coffee for traveling. 1 Cup of coffee grounds 1 and 1/2 liters cold water Let them soak or stew for at least 4 hours in cold water, then filter, strain.
Then I broke up one chocolate bar and heated it with 1/2 cup of cream in a cup in the hotel microwave, stir stir stir. In 4 cleaned pepsi/coke bottles, I portioned out the cold brewed coffee (very intense, strong), with 1/4th the chocolate and cream mixture and another 2 tablespoons of cream each, and shook it up good, sealed the bottles. They were about half full. I put them in the hotel freezer and took them out the next morning to travel and put them in the cooler. All day I could enjoy delicious iced mocha for the trip!
It was easy to make and I'd do that all over again!

I have never heard of cold brewed coffee before! I am glad you shared this because my coffee maker died some time ago and I have been drinking instant instead of investing in a new brewer...lol I had good intentions of giving up coffee and I thought drinking instant would motivate me to do so! I am going to try this method this afternoon.
