Going to try this again..... had this post all written out and POOF... goes my internet. Stuffed Bell Peppers (organic of course) with free range buffalo, Jasmine rice, mild spices, tomato paste and a Sheep's cheese cap. This type of Bell pepper is long, hence them being on their sides. The cheese caps keeps everything in. Also put sheep cheese in the bottom. Is really good. So who else likes Stuffed Bell peppers? Any recipes you really like?

I ADORE stuffed peppers. Yours are gorgeous and I imagine just as delicious! My "recipe" is pretty loose....browned hamburger mixed with cooked rice and spag sauce, stuff into pepper, top with cheese. Bake or crockpot depending on the time of year.

Yes, bergere, those do look awesome. Mine are usually the standard burger, rice and sauce. I don't use cheese, but do occasionally add mushrooms, walnuts, or a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese.

Goodness mine are a bit different every time I make them .. but it depends on what seasonings I decide to toss in with the mixture before I stuff my peppers .. I do use browned ground beef usually and sometimes add a bit of sausage in it to change it up just a tad.. I always use some kind of rice but depends on what I have on hand or if I have any leftover fried rice or just plain rice either white.. jasmine or brown .. There is always onions and garlic in the mix but there can be many other things in it as well.. I even put some frozen peas in mine once but that didn't go over well with the daughter and I haven't don't it again .. she calls them Marvin the Martian Poop and will only eat them very seldom in a tuna and mac and cheese dish from her childhood.. whochestershire sauce...tomato powder is usually added to the meat after the rice to help bind it . I always like to use cheddar cheese on top... the sharper the better and will even add a little in with the meat if I have extra. I always blanch my peppers before filling them because it seems my daughter will eat all of it if they are really fully cooked .. I mince the tops and the sliver off the bottom I cut to make them stand up and add to the meat mixture as well.. I have been known to buy a bottled chili sauce to pour over them but usually I make my own with my homemade tomato powder and spices....and daughter seems to like it the best . I'm sorry I cant be more specific on the spices or seasonings I use .

I don't have any peppers to stuff- mmmm I may need to use some of my cabbage to make cabbage rolls! Yours look awesome!
I normally do either sausage or beef with rice- and sauce and seasonings- I think I have always made them in the crockpot

We eat a lot of them in the fall, chanterelle mushrooms, rice and smoked salmon, equal amounts. Same as we use for fish tacos. Big knob of butter, fry pan full of mushrooms, 6 green onions chopped fine. Wilt down, add cooked rice, mix together, Cut peppers in half to make boats, fill, bake. Last 10 minutes, add salmon. Top with tarter sauce. Tacos, we put the salmon on top of the filling, drizzle tarter sauce and top with lettuce....James

Bergere, yours look yummy, and gorgeous deep red peppers! James, yours sound scrumptious also, too bad we can't get good seafood here like you. I haven't made stuffed peppers in years (no one in my family likes them), but I've been craving them lately, think I'll have to make some soon. I had some a friend made once that were stuffed with a chopped smoked sausage, cajun rice, corn and okra mix and some kind of cajun spiced tomato sauce, topped with mozzarella and pepper jack cheese, think I'll look for a recipe but if I don't find one I'll just wing it.
