I am making samples for a quilt class, small ones that I can carry around easily. I just finished hand quilting one and decided I needed something better than the little pvc pipe thing I have. I have a big 3 bar frame, which I've never used, but did not want to set it up for these little things. So, I went to F.A. Edmunds and got a Stitch Master. Also an oval hoop for it. Total, $122 plus shipping. I can't wait to try it out. I have two more ready to quilt and another top I'm finishing up.

Maura, I do believe we need to see some pics of your creations! A little oohing and aahing is probably in order.

I'm not doing anything fantastical. Just samples to show what can be done with leftovers. I have one that is all flying geese, another with four Dresden plates, a crazy quilt, and am working on a four patch inside a square (flying geese for the squares). I'll do a log cabin as well. I'll take pics when I'm all done, then learn how to post them.

Oh, pshaw. We are all creative, just in different ways. Motdaugrnds, you put me to shame with what you do
The Stitch Master is an easel that can be brought up higher or lower. It has a hinge at the top with a clamp you can tilt it. You clamp your frame onto it (embroider, quilting, whatever).
