Yesterday at 2:15 pm, it was 82°. This morning at 6 am the temperature is 23°.
This is today's forecast from Weather Underground--"Today is forecast to be Much Cooler than yesterday."
Hey Wunder, I've got a new word for you, cold.

¡Ay, caramba! THAT is one heckuva temperature swing! Of course, since I have chickens, the first thing I thought of was "having fun" planning/dealing with that... Wow...

I imagine that before radio and television the huge temperature swings caught some people with their pants down, so to speak.

Yeah, even when they are wrong I appreciate a heads up to the weather. I can plan for the worst and when it doesn't materialize, I breathe a sigh of relief. And when it's worse than expected, I'm still ok because I over prepare for everything!
But that big a temperature swing would hurt! And I was complaining about the 30 degree swing we had. I'll stop complaining now!

Not a big swing, since we got snow last night, but tonight's low is -15*. Wind chill will be -30*. Glad I"m staying home with the woodstove!

4:15 pm and 25°. Today's high was 27°. That am some serious cold for this area. If it will make anyone feel better, Tuesday it is suppose to be back to 70° and the mid 70s on Wednesday. ETA: Unfortunately the sun just came out and did not wait until tomorrow as we had hoped. So that means oh so very cold tonight. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PzL8aL6jtI

Here in Northern California we are getting hit with an especially wet storm. But almost everything has it's good side- with the cloud cover comes warmer termperatures- we are not going to get buckets of snow at my elevation. A couple of miles further inland will see the snow. And a few miles shoreward they are expecting some flooding but not til Sunday. I'm in the sweet spot to miss both- to high for floods and too low for blizzards.

Have to love this weather, it's Mother Nature's cheap distillery. Set out 4 gallons of apple-pear wine. Two days later, 3 gallons of ice and 1 gallon of 50% brandy.

After a high of 64 yesterday, the temps have been dropping since midnight. Not terribly cold, but this winter I just can't seem to stay warm. Yesterday hubby let the stove in his shop go out as it was warmer outside, so he just opened all the doors!
Expecting about an inch of snow tomorrow, but I don't have to go anywhere.
