Yesterday at a thrift store I bought two of those square silicon cake pan molds I want to use as my molds for my soap. Do I line these with anything or just pour my soap into them as they are? The soap I make is where you just bring it to trace then pour it into a mold/molds if that make any difference.

I don't line mine. Truthfully, I usually don't even need to spray/oil them. The silicon molds just let me pop out my soap.

As mamatiger said, no lining necessary, pammysueSomething you might want to consider is supporting the mold by setting it in a bed of rice or beans so it doesn't bow out ... this depends how thick your silicon is ... it may not be needed

Thank you mamatiger and Cyndi for the answer to my question.
Cyndi I'm glad you mentioned something about supporting the mold, one of the molds is a fair amount flimsier then the other one and was wondering about that one in particular. Now I know what to use.
Made soap in the not so flimsy one this morning, couldn't wait to use it.
Thanks again.

I use silicon molds with no spray or lining. Set them on flat baking pans to keep them sturdy. (But my set-up includes a bakers rack for curing and LOTS of sheet pans!)
