I'm making my list of projects for the year and, if all goes well, I'm expecting to get a lot accomplished. I have too many UFOs to count and there are a couple of BOMs that I want to do. Is everybody else doing the same thing? Sometimes it's nice to work on a project as part of a group to stay organized. farmchix is doing the 365 day challenge and asked if anyone is interested in doing a quilt along with her. www.365challenge.com.auWith everything else I'm doing, I can't commit to making a block every day but making one a week is doable for me. I've been looking at Barbara Brackman's Jane Austen BOW. austenfamilyalbumquilt.blogspot.comSo what are your quilting plans for 2017? Would you like to get a quilt along or two going? Need some opinions and ideas so we can get some fun activities going through the winter.

calicokatie1, one of my goals this year is not to commit to doing external things, but catch up on some much-needed chores and projects round home and on my quilt list. Actually, it was a solemn promise I made my DH, who has been extremely patient and tolerant of me getting involved in stuff that has diverted my attention away from home the past couple of years. He deserves a break and this year he's getting one. So while I won't commit to a specific project or activity, I'd be delighted to join you and anyone else in spirit and report on my progress on the quilting front throughout the year. I'm all for accountability, LOL. I'm keeping a copy of the 365 challenge blocks each day and can use some of them as part of existing projects, but I really need to finish at least 4 quilts on my list before starting a completely new one. The one exception to the above is our forum quilt blocks. I'll still be part of that.

All seven of my grandchildren have had a hand pieced and quilted treasure from me, each one different. So far I have done Courthouse Steps, Grandmother’s Garden type of thing with whip stitching, woven, tumbling blocks with alphabet letters, Snail’s Trail, Windmills, Log Cabin type of hearts,
I’m trying to sort out making polyhedrons for number 8.
Actually, I’ve liked the forum quilts. I challenged myself to make a Dresden Plate block and ended up making twelve more for a quilt I just finished, and a bunch of smaller ones for another quilt.

I'm planning to hibernate this weekend and finish quilting my ddil's quilt. I just need to do the border on it. Then I'm going to start a lap/nap quilt for my granddaughter. I have some embroidered bluebird blocks I'm using for that. Just some of the stamped Jack Dempsey blocks that I made several years ago. She was with me a lot when I was stitching them. Then I have to get two quilts finished by March for birthday presents. That's how this whole year is going to be. Busy!
It sounds like it will be like that for everyone else, too. I've seen mention on the blogs of a 17 in '17 challenge. Pick 17 unfinished projects to finish during this year. I'll have no problem with that since I'm quilting tops I've had put back for eons and setting blocks into tops that are from swaps I did years ago.
That can be our quiltalong - the 17 in '17. Just post here about whatever you're working on.

Just post here about whatever you're working on. Great idea!!! I'm sure I can find 17 projects to work on this year. I joined in the Stashbusters UFO Challenge a couple of years ago and it made a difference to going from UFO to finished, so this definitely sounds doable. I think at that stage I had 12 things to complete, and I found that having that sort of a challenge made me think twice about starting something new because I then had to add it to my 'list' - which would have been depressing. I love the thought of hibernating for a quilting session. My ideal hybernation session would include having pre-prepared meals that could be thrown together in a jiffy, an agreement with my DH that he would make me cups of tea and deliver them with something naughty but nice to eat at regular intervals ... and chocolate! Your year will certainly be busy, calicokatie1 so post how your progress is going so we can all cheer you on.

farmchix, I don't think I can post pix here. Is there a way to set up a photo gallery? I'm not very tech savvy so maybe I just missed the instructions.

Does anyone here sell their quilts? If so, do you sell online?

Does anyone here sell their quilts? If so, do you sell online? I have a few on my website. My goal is to get more on there this year. I literally have hundreds of quilts that have been shop samples over the years.
