So, my first plan today was to make a cassoulet...essentially oven bake a couple meats and veggies together. But then I got to thinking: Instead of combining the pork with w couple chicken pieces, I ground the pork with garlic, fennel seeds, hot pepper flakes, black pepper, and brown sugar and made some pork sausage patties. It came out to four nice patties. They're in the freezer and next time I make chili I'll use up the little bit of ground beef and one of the sausage patties as the meat. I think it'll be tasty.
For the chicken pieces, I browned them first in the oven with onion and garlic. Next I added fresh button mushrooms and some baby carrots. I baked a couple small potatoes. I'll make gravy with the drippings and that'll be dinner tonight.

Today, 1 chicken breast half, celery, onion, carrots and potatoes. Chicken pot roast. Browned the frozen chicken breast in butter, cut in 4 pieces, seasoned with Mrs. Dash mix, added a tablespoon of flour, stir. Add onion quartered, carrots and celery, big chunks, stir. 5 minutes later added 5 new potatoes, quartered and 1/2 cup water water to keep from sticking, stir a couple of times until cooked, but still firm. Dig in with big spoon to get all the vegetables and sauce....James
