I haven't made soap in forever, and it's been years since I watched someone (Cyndi!) make soap. Man, if you don't use it, you lose it. I feel like a total soap newbie.
Some of you use milk for your soaps, and freeze the milk beforehand. Do you freeze it in ice cube trays? If so, what's the measurement for a single ice cube? How many cubes to the ounce, etc?

I usually measure out how much I need for a batch & pour it into a bowl & freeze it.

That could work, too. <g>
We get so much milk, I'm looking for the most convenient way to keep it in the freezer. I do the "cubes" fo cheese cultures, thought maybe there was a simple measurement for soap.
Cheese is a LOT more forgiving, though.

I freeze the milk flat in zipper bags (freeze while on cookie sheet). Makes for easier storage. To use, I chunk it up.
Freezing in ice cube tray and then storing in a zipper bag is a great idea too.
I think I read that each cube is about 1 oz ... but that is subjective to the size of the tray and how full you fill it.

Yup, at least weigh a couple milk cubes to get an average.
The liquid amount for the lye solution doesn't have to be as accurate as the oils & lye.

I freeze 6oz at a time, flat, in a zip lock bag. It saves a lot of room for storage and is super easy to break up.
I hated ice cube trays. I could never get them out without almost breaking the tray.

Looking like flat-pack ziplocks are the way to go.

They're just soooo much easier to store!

I've been freezing mine as ice cubes and it's kind of a pain. I'm going to try the ziplock bag method. Don't know why i didn't think of it.

It is a nightmare getting them out of the ice cube trays. You have to partially melt them to get them to un-stick and then you get milk every where getting them out. Definitely go flat in a zipper bag pre weighed!
