Brand names are Confidor, Admire, Gaucho, Advocate, Actara, Platinum, Cruiser, Poncho, Dantosu, Dantop, Mospilan, Assail, ChipcoTristar, Calyps, Starkle, Safari, Venom, Capstar, and Guardian.

Here ya' go www.inquisitr.com/1998404/lowes-phasing-out-neonicotinoids-after-public-pressure-to-save-the-honeybees/Lowe's is phasing the pesticides out by 2019 51% of all pesticides sold contain neonics (from another article). Home Depot is asking their suppliers to LABEL all pesticides containing neonicotinoids. I agree that something has to be done. BUT, we need to be very careful that this doesn't become another DDT ban with it's ugly consequences. I believe there has to be a balance although it looks like it's pretty hard to achieve.

I'm glad they're doing this, Especially since I just lost a booming hive to pesticides. There is a residential suburb (or whatever you'd call it) about 3/4 of a mile from me and if you drive through it this time of year with the windows down the chemical smell is really strong.
Lots of retirees that spend most of their time beautifying the lawns. They use large amounts of fertilizer, pesticide and herbicides constantly. Those lawns look nice but I wouldn't want to walk on one barefoot.
